Pumpkins will fly Oct. 28

Petersburg will be hosting its ninth annual Punkin’ Chunkin’TM on Sunday, Oct. 28, one mile east of Petersburg.
The event is sponsored by the Petersburg Community Club, and is affiliated with the World Championship Punkin’ Chunkin’ Association. Winning shooters are eligible to compete in the national competition.
Shooting will begin at 1 p.m., and there is no entry fee. A $500 award will be given for the longest distance.
