Planning Board proposes street reservation plan

Albion Planning Commission Monday night forwarded a recommendation for a Future Street Reservation Plan to the Albion City Council.
If approved by the council, the Street Reservation Plan would be added as an amendment to the city’s official zoning map and comprehensive plan.
Purpose of the plan is to reserve street locations in areas that are currently just outside the city limits to prepare for orderly development and growth.
The Planning Commission focused on the area south of the present city limits in its discussion, reviewing a map of proposed street locations of Fairview Street.
