Adventurer walking pipeline route

Ken Ilgunas at work on his laptop computer in the Albion Public Library on Dec. 4.It was a long and interesting trip for Ken Ilgunas to attend the Keystone XL pipeline hearing in Albion Tuesday.
Over the past several weeks, the 29-year-old from Niagara Falls, NY, has been walking the proposed Keystone XL route.
“I just want to learn as much as possible about this project,” said Ilgunas. While not taking a stand for or against the pipeline, he said he considers himself an environmentalist who is very concerned about climate change.
Igunas started walking at Hardisty, Alberta, Canada, and has logged some 800 miles on his trip to Texas.
Details in the Dec. 5 Albion News Print & Electronic Editions.
