Community Club recaps 2012 events

Petersburg Community Club members, including several new members, gathered at the Knotty Pine Monday evening for the organization’s annual soup supper.
Treasurer Radene Temme presented the treasurer’s report, and 2012 President Jim Leifeld noted the club had spent $150,000 in the past year. There had been extra expenses due to the Q125. President Leifeld commented, “I think that was pretty good for a community this size.”
The $500 for the tile at the Centennial Mall in Lincoln has been sent in. The village board will also send $500.
With the closing of old business, Leifeld thanked the members for making 2012 a good year. The new 2013 President Doug Wright presided over the remainder of the meeting.
Details in the Jan. 9 Petersburg Press Print & Electronic Editions.
