A proposed agreement on use and modification of county roads between Boone County and Prairie Breeze Wind Energy, LLC, was reviewed by Boone County Commissioners during their meeting Monday, Jan. 28.
Prairie Breeze is making plans to build a 200 megawatt wind farm in Antelope and Boone counties. The project could include up to 20 towers in northern Boone County.
Darrel Thorin, county highway superintendent, presented a map showing Boone County roads the company plans to use and possibly modify for hauling components to wind tower sites.
Commissioners will consider approval of the agreement at a later date.
