Community Club expresses concern about safety at highway intersection

Placing a speed sign by the intersection of Highway 14/32 was once again addressed at the Petersburg Community Club’s meeting on Monday, Feb. 4. Jeff Temme spoke with a representative of the Department of Roads in Norfolk with hopes of some action being taken regarding a flashing light or speed sign which would make people slow down.
The problem has been explained to the road department. Emphasis was made that the grocery store, beauty salon, and the senior center at Rae Valley Market is also in that location.
The club feels that some form of traffic control is needed to prevent an accident.
