School Board to proceed with facility upgrades

Boone Central School Board signaled last Wednesday night it will move ahead with upgrading the school track/athletic complex, as well as remodeling of the oldest wing of the elementary school.
The facilities projects were discussed at a special board meeting Jan. 30. Although no formal motion was made, board members expressed agreement on moving ahead with the upgrades.
Superintendent Cory Worrell estimated slightly over $1.6 million would be available to use in the track/athletic field construction this fiscal year, with $250,000 remaining in the special building fund to pay for other needs that could arise.
