Commissioners approve BCHC option to buy Fairview Lanes lots

Boone County Health Center is executing an option to purchase six lots currently occupied by Fairview Lanes at the south edge of Albion.
The option offer was approved by the BCHC Board of Trustees on March 5, and was ratified by the county commissioners at their March 11 meeting.
If exercised, the hospital would purchase the six lots bordered by Sixth and Seventh Street on the east and west, and by South Street on the south. Total cost would be $151,177.
The transaction would take place only if the building is removed within 12 months, or by March 15, 2014.
