Visitor promotion grants to be smaller

After seeing more demand for grants from the Boone County Visitors Promotion Fund in recent years, the Boone County Development Agency Lodging Tax Committee last month recommended a reduction in grant amounts from the County Visitors Promotion Fund.
Boone County Commissioners approved the committee’s recommendations at their March 25 regular meeting.
Starting July 1, visitors promotion grants will be limited to $400 per application, and there will be a limit of $1,600 in grants to any single organization during the coming fiscal year.
