Legion Field to be renamed for Leon Nelson

Action by the Albion City Council on April 16, will allow the local American Legion baseball field to be named in honor of Leon S. Nelson.
Nelson, who passed away Jan. 21, 2013, founded the Albion American Legion baseball program and coached the local team for many years, winning four district titles. He was a strong supporter of all local baseball programs.
