Football field, track renovation to begin

Weather permitting, preliminary work on the Boone Central track and football field renovation is expected to begin this week.
Nemaha Landscape Construction, general contractor on the $2.1 million project, will start by installing erosion control measures to meet requirements of the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
Nemaha can then begin demolition work, with removal of trees, the existing track, small buildings, fencing and much of the existing concrete.
