School Board talks building security

Building security needs at both the Albion and Petersburg campuses were discussed by the Boone Central School Board Monday night, May 13.
Boone Central is among many schools across the country considering building security improvements after recent mass shootings in schools.
The need for secure entrances at all school buildings was listed as a priority by Whitney Jones, school safety coordinator. In her report to the board Monday night, she suggested a key card entry system. Superintendent Cory Worrell provided some preliminary cost estimates for building improvements.
