Local veterans organizations on Memorial Day honored Karen Hagemann as their 2013 Living Auxiliary Member, noting her involvement in Albion VFW Auxiliary Unit 736 and several special projects.
A flag was raised in Mrs. Hagemann’s honor at the Albion downtown mini-park, and a plaque was installed there to commemorate the honor.
The award was presented by Tony Kunzman during Monday’s Memorial Day ceremonies.
