An additional concrete grain storage tank is under construction at Cargill Albion, and completion is expected in July.
Donna Beasley, elevator manager, said the new structure will add 315,000 bushels of storage, bringing total permanent storage to 1.8 million bushels and total facility storage to 4.4 million bushels.
Other facility improvements planned this season are upgrades in the grain transfer system and additional rail track siding to allow space for 55 to 60 rail cars.
