Rain doesn’t spoil Newman Grove Q125

Newman Grove color guard leads the Q125 Parade.A little rain didn’t hurt.
In fact, it may have helped the Newman Grove Q125 celebration in some ways.
“We had about a half inch of rain on Saturday, but all events were held,” said Dennis McCloud, a co-chairman of the three-day celebration. “We had the run/walk and 22-mile bike ride in the rain Saturday morning.”
McCloud, president of the Newman Grove Community Club, and Brad Wallin, chairman of the Shell Creek Valley Days Committee, served as co-chairs of the overall celebration. Both said it was very successful.
