New rural home is vandalized

One arrest had been made and another was pending on June 18 as area law enforcement agencies continued their investigation of vandalism of a new rural home on the night of June 12-13. Vandalism was discovered at the unoccupied home, located near 110th Street and Highway 14, on Thursday morning, June 13. Windows were broken, and appliances and fixtures damaged. The home is owned by Kenneth and Joan Stuhr, rural Petersburg.
During investigation, this incident was found to be linked with tire slashings and other vandalism damage that occurred in Neligh the same night.
Arrested in the case was Dean Braband, 19, rural Elgin. Charges were also pending against a juvenile in the case.
