Rural Residency program underway at BCHC

Dr. Tami Dodds with Dr. Joshua Thoendel.Boone County Health Center has been selected as a Combined Out-state Residency Education (CORE) training site.
This is a joint program between the University of Nebraska Family Medicine Residency and the Lincoln Medical Education Foundation Family Practice Residency.
Beginning in July and continuing over the next three years, the Health Center will have a continual rotation of Family Medicine residents from these programs. According to Dr. Tami Dodds, who will oversee the program at BCHC, residents in this program are doctors who have graduated from a four-year medical school and have completed part of a three year residency program.
The first program participant is Dr. Joshua Thoendel.
