Community conducts flag disposal ceremony

Worn and used American flags wre disposed of at a burning ceremony sponsored by Petersburg American Legion Post 334 on Monday, July 8, outside the Legion building.
Active military personnel, Legion members and Boy Scouts participated.
Community members were asked to bring old or torn flags to be destroyed respectfully at the ceremony.
