Drainage rock on field, track construction starting

Reconstruction of the Boone Central football field and track is progressing on schedule, according to Kyle King, project manager with Nemaha Landscape Construction.
Construction activity was expected to increase this week when work begins on the track.
Last week, permeable sheeting was installed on the field subgrade, and tons of one-inch cleaned drainage rock were hauled onto the field area. After this rock is graded into place, one-quarter-inch finish gravel will be placed over that to form the field contour before installation of the artificial turf.
