Thome back on top in Modified class

For the first time in many weeks, a new class season point leader emerged from racing action at the Albion Speedway Friday, July 26.
Shane Thome won the Modified A Feature and retook the division lead he held early in the season when Albion’s Jacob Anson ran sixth.
Several point battles tightened in other classes, as well, Friday. Jim Johnson won his second straight feature in the Late Model class and pulled within three points of season leader Robert Osborne. Chad Bruns took the checkers in the Stock Car A Feature, whittling Doug Adamy’s season lead to five points in that division.
Other feature winners Friday were Ramsey Meyer (Sport Compact), Brent Jochum (Hobby Stock), and James Kleinheksel (Sport Mod). Meyer solidified his season advantage in the Sport Compact class, while Tiffany Bittner (Hobby Stock) and Kyle Prauner (Sport Mod) retained strong leads in their respective divisions.
