Boone Central golfers open with win

The Boone Central girls golf team opened its 2013 season with a solid performance, defeating host Fullerton in a dual competition at Pawnee Hills Golf Course Thursday, August 29.
With Melissa Kyncl firing the low score of the day, Boone Central compiled a team score of 191 – well in front of Fullerton’s 224 total.
Kyncl toured the Pawnee Hills nine-hole layout in 40 strokes, the best round of the afternoon by nine, as teammate Faith Leetch fired a 49. Kyley Sorell, 50, and Jessica Tisthammer, 52, rounded out the Cardinals’ team score with solid rounds of their own and Paige Krohn shot a 67.
