Petersburg to host varsity game for first time since consolidation

For the first time since Albion and Petersburg school districts consolidated in 2001 to form Boone Central, Petersburg’s football field will be hosting a varsity football game this Friday, Sept. 6.
It will be a big one, too.
Boone Central vs. Pierce is a rivalry that fans of both schools look forward to each year.
The game was moved to Petersburg because the new Boone Central field is still under construction in Albion.
Game time this Friday is 7 p.m., and seating will be limited.
