Filling the bleachers

An estimated 1,200 to 1,500 spectators filled the bleachers at Petersburg’s football field for the Boone Central – Pierce football game on Friday night, Sept. 6.
It was the first varsity game held at the Petersburg field in more than 10 years, and the field was in excellent condition.
Additional bleachers were brought in for fans on both sides of the field, and “scissor lifts” were used for spotters and radio broadcasters.
