City sales tax starts new year strong

Albion city sales tax made a strong showing in the first month of the new 2013-14 fiscal year.
City sales tax revenues totaled $53,247 for July 2013, up $13,526 from the $39,721 total receipts in July of 2012.
July represented the third consecutive month that city sales tax receipts have been over $50,000, and each of the three most recent monthly receipts have shown an increase from the previous year.
