Dirt work underway for new motel

Dirt work has been underway for several weeks at the site planned for Albion’s new motel, east of Higwhay 39-14 near the Brewed Bean.
Owner Randy Christo plans to meet with the Albion Planning Commission and Albion City Council on Oct. 7 for public hearings on his application for an administrative plat.
About three feet of fill dirt has been brought to the site. Christo said he hopes to start construction in October.
