Rita Zaruba, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 26 at her son’s home in Clarks. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Fullerton with Father Richard Whiteing officiating. Burial was at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Palmer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Shane M. Thome 30, of Albion, NE, formerly of Spalding, NE, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident near Albion. Maynard L. Pelster, Jr., 61, of Cedar Rapids, NE, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at Bryan Medical Center-West in Lincoln, NE. Ruth Draeger, 92, died Sept. 10, 2013 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo, ND. Internment service will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward.
