Yields excellent as harvest progresses

Soybean harvest was nearing completion in the Boone County area this week, and excellent yields were reported for most crops.
About 90 to 95 percent of the soybean harvest had been completed, with yield averages of 50 bushels per acre for dryland nad 65 to 70 percent for irrigated soybeans.
Corn harvest was estimated at 25 to 30 percent complete, with common dryland yield averages of 150 bushels per acre and irrigated corn running from 200 to 260 bushels per acre and higher.
