Boone County’s 2014 road improvement plan includes two new bridges and several asphalt road projects.
Total estimated price tag of the 10 projects in the one-year plan, if completed, would be more than $1.1 million.
A majority of that total would be spent for bridge projects near Cedar Rapids and Primrose, and a large share of funding for those is to come from earmarked federal and state funds.
The county’s One and Six-Year Road Plan was approved by county commissioners after a presentation by Darrel Thorin, county highway superintendent, and a public hearing Monday, Feb. 10.
