Four of Boone County’s Korean War veterans will be part of the Korean Veterans Honor Flight to Washington, DC, in March.
Boone County veterans organizations will be hosting a send-off fundraiser event for these veterans on Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Albion Veterans Club. The roast beef dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a free-will donation.
Boone County veterans planning to go on the honor flight are Bob Wilson, Jim Atkinson and Harold Miller, all of Albion, and Dennis Lee of Newman Grove.
All proceeds will go to the Korean War Honor Flights.
