It should be an interesting primary election for Boone County’s District 1 County Commissioner seat.
As of Tuesday, Feb. 25, a total of five candidates had filed for the District 1 seat, and all are Republicans.
The list includes two brothers, Monty and Max Olson, both of St. Edward, as well as St. Edward Mayor Marvin K. Haas. Also seeking the District 1 seat are Hilary Maricle and Brian Wright of rural Albion.
Only one Republican winner can emerge from the May 13 primary election.
