Schademann enjoys Honor Flight

Lester Schademann at the World War II Memorial. It was Lester Schademann’s first trip to Washington, DC, and he did it up right, joining about 50 other veterans on a Lone Eagle Honor Flight to the nation’s capitol March 21-23.
“They treated us just great,” said the 85-year-old World War II Navy veteran from Albion. “It was the best time of my life.”
Lester was accompanied by his daughter, Ann Olsen, a retired teacher from Wisconsin. She served as his guardian for the trip as the Lone Eagle flights require at least one guardian for each participating veteran.
