Commissioners decide to vacate two Loretto streets

After a public hearing Monday, Boone County Commissioners decided to have the County Clerk draft a resolution to vacate portions of two streets in Loretto.
Commissioners decided to follow the recommendation of Darrel Thorin, county highway superintendent, in vacating portions of Pine Street and Third Street in the south portion of Loretto.
In other action at the April 28 meeting, the commissioners decided to provide a no-interest loan to the Boone County Agricultural Society to begin the fund-raising process for a new multi-purpose arena building at the fairgrounds, and accepted a bid for asphalt microsurfacing of two county roads.
