Contractors are nearing the finish line early this week at the new Albion Family Aquatic Center.
Activity is expected to increase at the pool throughout this week.
With muddy conditions due to the rain on Monday morning, much of the finish work was focused inside the bathhouse, where doors, partitions and fixtures were being installed.
Electricians were finishing the wiring in the bathhouse. Speakers were installed for the PA system, and other finish work was underway.
Outside, the perimeter fence and gates were being installed Monday and Tuesday. Installation of the sewer line continued this week, and a portion of the access sidewalk was left to complete on Monday.
Goal to finish construction is June 13. Opening is likely in the third week of June, pending state inspections.
