Carnival Days opened in Petersburg Tuesday and will continue through Thursday in Petersburg.
TeamMates will be a special focus of the celebration on Thursday evening, June 26. Thursday evening events begin with a barbecue from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Fire Station. Petersburg native Paul Koch will be on hand to sign his new book about Nebraska football, No Place Like Nebraska: Anatomy of an Era.
A flag-raising ceremony will be held at 7 p.m., followed by a performance by the Boone Central High School Drum Line. Koch will share some of his insights about Cornhusker football. Local TeamMates mentors and board members will be recognized, and Osborne will then speak about the TeamMates organization.
