A crew of 18 Boone Central students and staff, along with four community volunteers, traveled to Wakefield, NE, last Friday, June 27, to assist with clean-up from the June 16 tornado that devastated Pilger and continued its path to near Wakefield.
The volunteers spent the day picking up debris spread across a 75-acre pasture, owned by Ken and Darci Slama and located about two miles east of Wakefield.
