A rural farm house was extensively damaged in a fire Tuesday afternoon, July 22, along Highway 45 about 1 1/2 miles south of Newman Grove.
The home, owned by John Johnson, was occupied, but there were no injuries.
Newman Grove, Lindsay and Albion Fire Departments battled the blaze, which apparently started in the garage area and advanced to all levels of the home.
