Albion’s new Family Aquatic Center opened its doors to the public on June 25.
After many months of preparation and construction through all kinds of weather in the past year, the establishment certainly made an effort to appeal to the community.
The Aquatic Center is decked out as it was intended to be, except for a donor plaque yet to be installed on the east exterior wall.
Plans are being made for an Aug. 10 dedication ceremony in conjunction with a Celebration of Giving event.
Of course, the most exciting part is the pool. Many features throughout the pool area attract people of all ages. These features include a water-walk and cargo net, diving boards, 25-meter lap lanes, water slides and a large splash pad.
