A seventh-inning run sent Albion Cornerstone to defeat in its American Legion Class B State Tournament opener at Blair Saturday, but the local Seniors bounced back with a vengeance Sunday, thumping Alliance 8-2 in an elimination game, and then defeating Cozad Monday in a 15-5 slugfest.
Although facing elimination with every game, the Albion Seniors were still contenders on Tuesday night, July 29, when they faced Hickman at 8 p.m.
