Boone County Commissioners again tabled action Monday on a conditional use permit application by MSJM Properties, LLC, for a hog confinement building northwest of Albion.
The building had been partially completed before a conditional use permit or construction permit were issued, but construction was ordered stopped in mid-October because permits had not been issued.
Commissioners also signed an agreement with the Nebraska Department of Roads to accept a $182,316 bid from Cramer Construction of Iowa for restoration of a historic bridge at the east edge of Cedar Rapids. This federal aid project has been in planning and engineering stages for several years. Darrel Thorin, county highway superintendent, said the work may start this winter, or it may be delayed until April.
