‘Remembering Our Fallen’ coming to fairgrounds Nov. 24-29

Local soldiers in 'Remembering Our Fallen' exhibit.“Remembering Our Fallen,” a photo exhibit tribute to the Nebraska military men and women who have given their lives in the war on terror since 9/11, will be coming to the Boone County Fairgrounds, Albion, in November.
The exhibit will be hosted by Albion Sons of the American Legion Squadron 162. It will be open to public viewing at the Event Center on the fairgrounds from Monday, Nov. 24, through Saturday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. each day.
An opening ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, at the Event Center.
Two local area servicemen are featured in the photo display.
First Lt. Edward D. Iwan, U.S. Army, a native of Albion, was killed in combat in Fallujah, Iraq, on Nov. 12, 2004.
PFC Christopher F. Pfeifer, U.S. Army, a native of Spalding, died of wounds sustained in combat on Sept. 25, 2007.
