Burial followed at St Anthony’s Cemetery at Cedar Rapids. Newman Grove Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donna Anne Appel, 71, of Norfolk, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk with Pastor Mark Reichert officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden was in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Kendall

Phyllis Kendall, 76, of Hastings, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Shawn M. Griffiths, 33, of Albion, formerly of Spalding, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding, with Fr. Matthew Koperski and Fr. James Muphy officiating.
