At the last Petersburg Community Club meeting, members voted to donate up to $15,000 on the renovations at the downtown park. The Sentinel building would be $18,000, and the cement platform would be approximately $10,000.
The fund drive total now stands at $23,302.
Village of Petersburg Park Board members would also like to purchase new playground equipment.
The fund drive began with the Boone County Big Give, which brought in a total of $5,302. Another $2,000 in matching funds was allocated from additional sponsors.
