Maxine Joan. “Mickey” Zabka, 76, of Albion, died Wednesday Jan. 14, 2015 at her home northwest of Albion. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating. Burial followed in the Parish Cemetery. David W. Peters

David Wayne Peters 53, of Albion, formerly of Elgin, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Elgin with Rev. Michael Davis and Revs. Ray and Mary Avidano officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred Remmereid

Mildred Lorraine (Hoefer) Remmereid, 79, of Tilden, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at the Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden with Rev. Michael Awe officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery in Tilden. Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden was in charge of arrangements.

Melvin Langer

Melivn Langer, 84, of Spalding, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spalding with Rev. Matt Koperski officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a 7 p.m. wake service.
