With dry conditions and changeable winds, the past week was a busy one for grass and field fires in the area.
Above, A fire destroyed 50 to 60 cornstalk bales last Saturday at the Justin and Brenda Frey farm southwest of Albion. Albion Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene for about two hours.
