After an unsuccessful attempt to get a favorable recommendation for a Class D off-sale-only liquor permit five years ago, Bosselman’s Inc. managed to get a recommendation from the Albion City Council last Tuesday night, Aug. 11, for its Pump & Pantry store in Albion.
Three council members voted in favor of the recommendation, with one opposed.
At the public hearing, debate centered on the fact that the convenience store is located next door to the First Baptist Church in Albion.
The application now goes before the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission in Lincoln.
