County’s valuation up 15.1%

Boone County property valuation growth.Final figures from the Boone County Assessor’s office showed a 15.1 percent increase in the county’s property valuation for 2015-16.
Total taxable valuation now stands at $2.193 billion, an increase of $288.85 million over last year’s valuation of $1.9 billion.
Higher agricultural land prices, reflecting sales over the past three years, were again a factor in the increase.
City and village valuations also increased by double digits in three of the five Boone County towns.
