A slight reduction of $12,738 in total tax request is part of the proposed Boone Central Public School budget for 2015-16.
A public hearing on the new budget will be held next Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. during the school board’s regular meeting at the middle school library in Petersburg.
Taxes for the newly approved school bond, and a tax increase for the general fund, will be offset by a dramatic reduction in the school district’s special building fund tax request.
