Tom Briese, Legislative candidate for the 41st district, was guest speaker at the Petersburg Community Club meeting last Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. He said he would like to bring people to Nebraska. Other concerns were wind energy, ethanol, infrastructure and a willingness to invest in Nebraska, death penalty, and TIF financing. Concerning the death penalty, he said, “We as a society are obligated to protect people. If it comes back, we must utilize it to become a good deterrent.”
The Community Club also presented “First Dollar” plaques to John and Cindy Temme (John Temme Auction and Realty, Inc.) and C. J. Holen (Big Red Paintless Dent Repair).
