Commissioners accepted a proposal Monday from North Central Ambulance of Minnesota for a new county ambulance at a cost of $226,055 with trade, or $236,055 without trade-in.
Two bids were received on the new unit. Danko Emergency Equipment Co. of Snyder, NE, submitted a bid of $219,108 without trade.
The county will have a week to contact area community rescue squads about their interest in purchasing the county’s used 2010 ambulance before finalizing the purchase.
