A conditional use permit, pending for nearly a year, was given approval by the Boone County Commissioners during their regular meeting Monday morning, Sept. 21.
Commissioners approved the conditional use permit requested by MSJM Properties, LLC, for a 2,500-head hog finisher unit located northwest of Albion. The building has been partially constructed since October of last year on the west side of 240th Avenue between 220th and 230th Streets.
Jeff Jarecki, attorney for MSJM Properties, was again present to request approval of the conditional use permit.
Approval had been recommended by the Boone County Planning Commission last year, but it was tabled by the commissioners due to ongoing legal concerns.
